Prague and Ostrava

Czech Republic
A country known to many for its funny-sounding language and cartoons everyone recognizes — from Krtek (The Little Mole) to The Neighbors. In 2011, a figurine of Krtek even flew to space as a symbol of Czech-American cooperation, and that says a lot.

Because the Czech Republic is more than just a train schedule to Prague — it is a land of poetry, poetry that truly matters. A country that, despite having no towering mountains like the Alps or a sea, still offers a sense of freedom.

It’s a variety of beers, a subtle smile, and irony shared at the bar. A country that sits quietly in the corner with a poetry book and doesn’t seek attention — yet you still want to join it. Maybe it’s because of Prague’s cobblestone streets, art galleries, the scent of sweet pastries from a street corner. Maybe because of the mist over the hills. Or simply because of that inner calm.

It’s the free spirit of Kundera, the irony of Forman, and Kafka, who wrote:

“We are like books — most people only see our cover, a few read the introduction, and only the exceptional know our content.”

It’s also Czech rock from the ’70s, the punk spirit, and the absurd surrealism of everyday life. The zoo in Ostrava, spas and wellness centers, picnics on castle hills. A country that doesn’t make noise but creates space.

A quiet rebellion. Quiet wisdom. The quiet charm of people who have seen it all and know that life is mostly about being able to laugh at yourself.

A more intimate take on Europe

A country that, despite having no high mountains or sea, offers a true sense of freedom.
A land of poetry, irony, and a gentle smile over a beer ?.
It’s the Little Mole who went to space, and Kafka’s surreal world still lingering over Prague.
The Czech Republic is quiet rebellion, quiet wisdom – an intimate Europe,
where every step on the cobbled streets carries its own story.

“We are like books – most people only see our cover, some read only the introduction, and only a few truly know our content.”
