Mallorca

You arrive in Mallorca without high expectations, yet the island manages to surprise you. By day, sunshine reigns, mingling with the scent of flowers and the turquoise coves. The sea shimmers in shades of blue, while wide promenades invite long walks and leisurely admiring of the landscapes.

At night, Mallorca shows a different side. In tourist hotspots like the famous Magaluf, chaos and noise take over – here, young travelers gather, many experiencing the taste and effects of alcohol for the first time. The district is also home to BCM, considered by many one of the best clubs in the world. Yet not everyone enjoys this kind of atmosphere – sometimes it’s better to escape by Uber to quieter places like Puerto Portals or Port Andratx. In these port towns, nights smell of olives and wine, and conversations stretch late into the night at rooftop bars, with views of twinkling lights over the sea.

A little further, toward Can Picafort or the port of Alcúdia, beaches widen and the landscapes soften. Renting a car is worth it to explore the island’s hidden corners – you can also try a surfing lesson. Mallorca teaches that even amid differences, a common language can be found, that quarrels fade, and friendships endure. It’s the conversations at sunrise, the strolls along quiet streets – these are the moments that reveal the island’s true charm.
