Finland

You might associate Finland with Helsinki – with its thousands of lakes and archipelagos, national parks, blonde hair, and breathtaking views.

But you might also associate it with Lapland – with Rovaniemi, the town of Santa Claus, a world that feels like a snow globe you shake and snow begins to fall.

You remember it like it was yesterday – stepping off the plane as mysterious elves escort you to a village. And even though it’s just a village, it feels so real: letters to Santa, a sleigh ride with reindeer that look like they might take off at any moment, huskies pulling sleds through the snow, cranberry tea, conversations by the fire or inside an igloo.

Legends, whispers, and Santa himself – as if that fairytale world truly existed. Magic seems to float in the air, in every snowflake, especially at night, when everything is lit up by tiny lights.

And then, when you’re back home, you still think about that magical adventure before falling asleep. Even years later, it leaves an impression. When you glance at the certificate on your wall – the one proving you crossed the Arctic Circle – you think to yourself that you truly experienced something extraordinary.
